Platinum Hits and Other Glitz!

Platinum jewelry was a hit at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards, with some stars sporting a variation from the trend. From top to bottom: Elisabeth Moss, Giuliana Rancic,  Amber Riley, and Gwyneth Paltrow (on the left) sporting platinum jewelry as Rashida Jones (on the right) sports a deviation from the trend.

The stars and celebrities at the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards were out in their usually incredible gowns and accessories, but the makeup looks they flaunted were slightly different from the dramatic looks of past shows. 

This year they went with minimal, very natural cosmetics for glowing, beautiful complexions to compliment their glamorous gowns.

Whether the clutches matches to a T or is completely random, they will sure add some spice to the gown.

It was predicted that organic and natural cosmetics will be in demand in a few years, companies are jumping on this prediction and have been for years.

Hairstyles have varied over the years, retro styles have been trending for the last few years as well as vintage inspired dress.

Fall/Winter 2011-2012 

The jewelry accessories for F/W 2011-12 can be described by the Latin phrase "horror vacui", meaning "fear of empty space". In this category, more is more - fashionable, that is. 

Silver, classic black & white, feathers, fringe, crystals, beads, you name it, it has been layered on the runway this season. Last season was about color, now jewelry trends are moving back into classic neutral colors that can be paired with anything, but wild materials to make it stand out.
